UPDATE: Police have charged 32-year-old Quintin Wright with the murder of Corey Davner after shooting him an East Charlotte apartment.
UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 22-year-old Corey Davner.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are conducting a homicide investigation in the 7300 block of Creekwood Quorum Drive in east Charlotte.
Authorities say they received an assault with a deadly weapon call around 9:15 p.m. at the Park 2300 apartments. When they arrived they found a man inside an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic officials say the person died at the scene.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim or said if they have anyone in custody. WCCB has a crew and will have the latest on WCCB News Rising.
