No Bond for Suspect Accused of Killing Cousin of Anti-Violence Activist

 CHARLOTTE, NC — A man charged with the murder of an anti-violence advocate’s cousin in west Charlotte is locked up without bond. Jerry Hunter will face a judge Friday.

He’s accused of killing 53-year-old Sarah Acker at her home on State Street. Police found her body Wednesday afternoon.

Acker’s family tells WCCB Charlotte that she and Hunter had a bad fight the night before. He’s also charged with stealing her car.
