Low Early Voting Turnout in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — Early voting for next week’s general election ends Saturday.Β In addition to the school board seats, voters will also decide on city council and mayor of Charlotte.

Early voting turnout is lower than it was for the mayor’s race in 2013.Β More than 12,000 people have voted so far.

At this point in 2013, 16,000 people had cast their ballots early.Β The most votes this year are being cast at the Morrison Library in Southpark.
