NEW YORK (AP) β A FIFA official extradited this week from Switzerland has pleaded not guilty in a U.S. courtroom to charges stemming from a sprawling bribery case.
Jose Maria Marin appeared Tuesday before a judge in federal court in New York. He will be freed on $15 million bond.
The Brazilian national is the second FIFA official so far to waive extradition to face charges in the U.S. in a $150 million corruption case linked to broadcasting rights.
The 83-year-old FIFA official headed the 2014 World Cup organizing committee. He was arrested in May.
