Rain Doesn’t Stop Panthers Fans from Big Game Against Colts

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — “Oh this is everything, this is Monday night football. Like Cam said last night, you hear that ‘Da-da-da, da-da-da!’ and it’s just, the excitement is unbelievable for the city, “says Allyson Seymour.Β 

Thousands braved the wet roads, mud puddles and long lines to cheer on the Panthers.Β

“If it’s raining, snow, raining tennis balls flying out of the air, we’ll be here,”Β  says Jake Allen.Β

The team’s 6 and 0 record creating an excitement even rain can’t stop. And it shows, some dressed in ponchos, rain gear and superhero outfits.

“I’m Captain Kuechly, I got a Captain America shield on the back,” says Captain Kuechly.Β

But nothing tops this Panthers fan who took a 16-hour train ride after his car broke down on his way to Charlotte.Β

“I paid over $650 for the rail accommodations, hotel room, I even left my car on the side of the road to get here. Yes, ma’am, all worth it. Go Panthers nation!” says John Cooley.Β

The Panthers’ undefeated record shining a bright light on the Queen City.Β

“If we didn’t have the home field advantage, it be like any other game, that’s nationally televised game.Β  Big for us, we getting exposure now,” says Jamie Mayberry.Β

“They’re probably looking at Charlotte like one of your bigger NFL cities, like the Patriots more national, more recognized. Now after this season, ” says Madison Weaver.
