16 Teen Girls Threatened Through Social Media For Nude Photos

CORNELIUS, N.C. — An investigation is currently underway at Hough High School after at least 15 students were threatened for nude photos.

Investigators say that a former Hough High School student filed a report to police after receiving a direct message on her Instagram account. The message included a nude photo of the victim that she had taken in 2014, and threatened to share it online unless she sent more nude photos via Snapchat.

Search warrants revealed Wednesday that 16 other teenage girls at Hough High School have been contacted by two Instagram accounts: The_list_guy and A_Dannyboy. The documents say, victims received a direct message with a nude photo they had taken in the past, along with a threat to send more or have their picture shared online.

Officials say at least 2 of the victims complied with demands in fear of their picture being posted. The ages of the victims range from 14-18 years old.

The investigation is ongoing. WCCB will share more information as it is released.
