CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two local students won $25,000 each to put toward their college education on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Morgan Lowers, from Rock Hill, and Abby Gervias, from Indian Trail, got a big surprise on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday.
The girls submitted stories about their school, family life and why they are Ellen’s biggest college fans.
Morgan currently attends Winthrop University and Abby attends The Art Institute of Charlotte.
They were two of three girls selected to appear on the show and compete in a game called “Know Or Go To College.”
