CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Southpark Mall is making changes when it comes to their holiday decorations, and some people are not happy about.
Children can still have their picture made with Santa Claus at Southpark Mall this year, but it won’t be in front of a Christmas tree. Instead, the mall has set up a large faux glacier.Β
People have already taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the removal of the traditional Christmas symbol.

According to reports, SouthPark is among the first wave of Simon malls to get a giant glacier. The large white mound is said to feature interactive elements, including a sound and light show every 30 minutes.
