WADESBORO, N.C.– The SBI is investigating after police say an Anson County deputy shot and killed a man Friday.
According to the Anson County Sherrif’s Office, a deputy responded to a domestic incident on Stanbackferry Ice Plant Road around 11 a.m. Friday. Β Β
They say that while the deputy was investigating that, “events that unfolded resulted in the officer fatally wounding the male subject.”
The SBI is investigating the officer’s actions which is standard procedure. Β The case will also be turned over to District Attorney Reese Saunders for review.
