Say what you want. Call them what you will. But the Carolina Panthers are still perfect after beating the Green Bay Packers Sunday. And even though they’re 8 and 0, other stories are stealing the lime light.
Some Packers fans are crying foul after Superman Cam Newton snatched down their “cheese head” sign before Sunday’s game. The Panthers will replace the sign, and they’re considering replacing their banner policy. Still, head coach Ron Rivera calls the incident a “side story.”
Another “side story” from Sunday’s game: former Carolina Panther Julius Peppers plays keep away with Cam after the Superman scored a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Not to worry; Newton managed to give the ball to a young fan in the stands.
But the big story–the story that’s been buried beneath the “hottest” headlines of the day? The Carolina Panthers beat the Packers 37 to 29, with less than two-minutes left in the game!
So what’s next? What do the Panthers need to look out for against the Titans?
