Second Horse Shot in Caldwell County

LENOIR, NC — We’ve learned about a second horse that has been shot in Caldwell County. 

A man in Lenoir says he found his horse lying dead in a field near his home last Monday. It had been shot in the head.

We told you last night on WCCB News at Ten about a mini-horse that had to be put down after its owner found it suffering from a shot-gun wound on November 1.

There’s no word if the shootings are connected.
