Former FBI Assistant Director on Paris Attacks

CHARLOTTE, NC — Flights tonight from the U.S. to France are canceled. There are no direct flights from Charlotte to Paris this time of year.

Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker calls what’s happening in Paris the most serious terrorist attack against Western interests since 9-11. He says the impact will be immediate and far reaching.

“I think you’re going to see a huge intelligence effort behind the scenes,” said Swecker. “You’re going to see some overt, you know, some extraordinary overt security measures being taken; travel restrictions. You’re probably going to see some things happen in the United States as well.”
