RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) β€” Jakub Voracek scored 37 seconds into overtime, and the Philadelphia Flyers rallied to beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 on Saturday night.

Luke Schenn and Wayne Simmonds also scored for the Flyers.

Philadelphia trailed 2-0 midway through the second period before rallying for just its second victory since Oct. 24.

Elias Lindholm and Victor Rask scored and Eric Staal had two assists for the Hurricanes, who have lost two straight and four of five since winning three in a row.

Steve Mason made 19 saves for the Flyers, but only faced three shots in the third. Cam Ward finished with 16 stops for Carolina.

PANTHERS-LIGHTNING

Panthers beat Lightning 5-4 in SO

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) β€” Brandon Pirri scored the lone shootout goal and had a penalty shot goal as the Florida Panthers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-4 on Saturday night.

The Panthers also got goals in regulation from Jussi Jokinen, Nick Bjugstad and Aaron Ekblad, who tied it late in the third.

Vladislav Namestnikov scored two goals for the Lightning. Cedric Paquette and Anton Stralman had the other Tampa Bay goals.

Both teams have struggled offensively with Tampa Bay scoring 15 goals over the previous 10 games, while the Panthers had 13 goals in their previous seven games.

Lightning star Steven Stamkos had his penalty shot stopped by Roberto Luongo 3:09 into the extra session.

Pirri beat Ben Bishop for the eventual overtime winner.

T25-MIAMI-NORTH CAROLINA

Williams, No. 17 UNC keep rolling in 59-21 win vs. Miami

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) β€” Marquise Williams accounted for four touchdowns and Ryan Switzer had a 78-yard punt return for a score, leading No. 17 North Carolina’s dominating performance in a 59-21 win against Miami on Saturday.

Williams ran for 101 yards and three touchdowns and threw for a TD for the Tar Heels (9-1, 6-0 Atlantic Coast Conference, No. 23 CFP), who won their ninth straight to stay alone atop the Coastal Division and move within a victory of a berth in the league championship game.

Elijah Hood ran for 132 yards and a score for UNC, which didn’t put up the gaudy yardage numbers from last week’s 66-31 rout of Duke. But the Tar Heels took advantage of penalties, turnovers and mistakes by the Hurricanes (6-4, 3-3) to turn the game into a romp β€” complete with Williams and Switzer commandeering Miami’s “The U” handsign in mocking celebrations of first-half scores.

T25-WAKE FOREST-NOTRE DAME

No. 6 Irish beat Wake Forest 28-7, Adams has 98-yard TD

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) β€” Josh Adams scored on a 98-yard run, the longest scoring play from scrimmage in Notre Dame history, and defensive end Andrew Trumbetti scored on a 28-yard interception as the sixth-ranked Fighting Irish beat Wake Forest 28-7 Saturday despite struggling offensively.

Adams started and ran for 141 yards with Notre Dame’s leading rusher C.J. Prosise sidelined while recovering from a concussion. Adams, who was fourth on the Irish depth chart in the preseason, posted his second straight 100-yard game and third of the season.

DeShone Kizer added touchdown runs of 12 and five yards for the Irish (9-1, No. 4 CFP).

Quarterback John Wolford scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter for Wake Forest (3-7), but the Demon Deacons squandered three other red-zone opportunities.

The Irish were held to less than 400 yards of total offense for the first time this season as Wake Forest outgained Notre Dame 340 yards to 282.

T25-NC STATE-FLORIDA ST

Maguire rallies No. 19 Florida State past NC State, 34-17

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) β€” Sean Maguire came off the bench to rally No. 19 Florida State to a 34-17 victory over North Carolina State on Saturday.

The Seminoles (8-2, 6-2 ACC, No. 16 CFP) trailed 17-7 in the second quarter when Maguire replaced Everett Golson. The junior led them to four straight scoring drives (two field goals, two touchdowns) to take control.

Maguire, who had started the past two games, was 18 of 28 for 231 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Golson had turnovers on three of five drives and finished 5 of 9 for 52 yards and two interceptions.

Dalvin Cook, who set Florida State’s single-season rushing record, had 138 yards on 22 carries, including a 30-yard touchdown.

Jacoby Brissett accounted for 236 all-purpose yards for N.C. State (6-4, 2-4 ACC). He was 27 of 47 for 209 yards and a touchdown along a rushing touchdown.

T25-BRYANT-DUKE

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) β€” Grayson Allen had a career-high 28 points, Matt Jones scored all of his career-best 19 in the first half, and No. 5 Duke routed Bryant 113-75 on Saturday night in the 2K Classic.

They never trailed, shot 53 percent, hit 13 3-pointers, forced 19 turnovers and turned them into 24 points.

Things almost certainly won’t be this easy next time for Duke: the Blue Devils play No. 2 Kentucky on Tuesday night in the Champions Classic in Chicago.

Hunter Ware scored a career-high 24 points to lead Bryant (0-1).
