AUBURN, Ala. (AP) β T.J. Dunans scored 20 points to lead Auburn, and the Tigers erased a sloppy start to beat Northwestern State, 119-81 Friday night at the Auburn Arena, the fourth-most points Auburn has scored in school history.
Dunans scored all of his points in the second half after a dismal first half, where he shot 0-for-1 with four turnovers and a pair of fouls.
Cinmeon Bowers added 16 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the year.
Kareem Canty, who came into the game tied for fifth in the SEC in scoring at 19.8 points per game, added 17 points and 10 assists.
Northwestern State was led by Zeek Woodley’s 29 points. Woodley is the nation’s leading returning scorer at 22.2 points per game.
Auburn (3-1) opened the game with seven turnovers in five minutes.
