Firefighters Pulled Victim To Safety After SUV Went Down Embankment
GASTONIA, N.C. – The Crowder’s Mountain Fire and Rescue rushed to a single vehicle accident just after 3 p.m. on Sunday when an SUV lost control and went down an embankment striking a large tree on Bethany Road in Gastonia.
One passenger was inside the vehicle and was trapped until firefighters could pull the victim to safety with the help of hydraulic rescue tools.
The victim was taken to Caromont Regional Medical Center and is expected to be okay.
