Four People Arrested After A String Of Car Break-Ins In Rowan County

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Four people were arrested after a series of car break-ins Saturday night and Sunday morning near Rainey Road in Salisbury.

Angel Flake, Michael Flake, James Coe and Carlos Rodriguez were charged with breaking or entering a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny.

The suspects searched for cars that had the doors unlocked and would take what they wanted from inside. They lived in the area and walked so they didn’t drive any of the cars. They took copper, brass plumbing pipes, fixtures, electronics, shoes, medication and a car stereo.

The suspects took the scrap metal to Foil’s Incorporated on Klumac Road.

Angel Flake, Coe and Rodriguez were placed under a $25,000 bond while Michael Flake received a $100,000 bond. Coe was arrested in 2012 after breaking into 25 cars in the same area.
