Police Searching For Armed Robbery Suspect in Shelby

SHELBY, NC–Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a One Stop Food Store in Shelby Wednesday morning.

Reports say around 2 a.m. a black male armed with a semi-automatic handgun, entered the One Stop Food Store on Fallston Road and demanded money.

The store clerk described the suspect as a light skin black male, between 5’9” and 5’11”, wearing a red long sleeve shirt and camouflage pants, he was last seen running east on Wyke Road.

Cleveland county sheriffs are also investigating a robbery that occurred at the One Stop Food Store on Dixon Blvd, authorities say similarities between the two robberies make them think it could be the same suspect that held up the store on Fallston Road.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $500 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the persons responsible for the robberies.
