CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Protesters stole the spotlight on the Carolina Panthers game Monday night.
Ahead of Sunday’s game against the Packers, Panthers officials announced there will not be any changes to security.
Security expert, Dan Stark says the recent security breach at Bank of America stadium is alarming.
“Could be a real issue for all of the stadiums across the country, how it’s handle will determine if it becomes a future issue,” says Stark.
Four protesters were able to get ropes, gear and a massive banner past security during Monday nights game against the Colts.
Despite that, team officals told WCCB news they are not beefing up security for tomorrow’s game against the packers.
“Simply put we are going to work through best practices like we always have and we are re-emphasizing training with those on the front of the line,” says Panthers Stadium Operations Director, Scott Paul.
“They broke security because they figured out what security was, they found a chink in the armour of security and additional security guards are needed,” Says Stark.
Stark says they need to tighten up and get more security focused on “one on one” checks. And he’s concerned something similar could happen at other stadiums.
“It’s a tragedy and if it isn’t handled in a quick fashion in a strict fashion, your going to see copy cat people all across the country. Because they’re lots of losers out there who want to get their face on TV,” says Stark.
