CHARLOTTE, NC — A Union County woman faces murder charges after police say she sold heroin to a man who died from an overdose.
Authorities say 24-year-old Farrell Glaser supplied the heroin that killed 26-year-old Trenton Phillips.
This has been a long investigation. The overdose happened in May at a house in Monroe.
The Union County Sheriff says that area is seeing a spike in heroin overdoses.
A 25-year-old woman was fatally shot and six other people were wounded early Sunday when gunfire erupted in Chicago during a remembrance for a man who died in a car crash, police said.
