ROWAN COUNTY, N.C.– The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two hunters found human remains Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Bringle Ferry Road and River Road.
Officials say they have recovered skeletal remains of an adult that will be sent to the NC State Medical Examiner’s Office.
This is an active, ongoing investigation.
No further information has been released at this time.
