Police: Man Broke Wife’s Fingernails Off During Assault

STATESVILLE, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man for assaulting his wife and cutting off his electronic monitoring device during an argument.

Investigators say Larry Allison got angry at his wife when she allegedly tried to leave their home to go out for dinner.

Allison was upset because he was not able to leave the house with her because he was on a GPS monitoring device as part of his probation for a conviction of domestic assault on a female, according to police.

The victim told police she was trying to leave the couple’s home when Allison allegedly assaulted her and broke her fingernails by snatching her keys out of her hands.

Allison is also accused of leaving the house and cutting off his electronic monitoring device following the alleged assault.

Allison was charged with assault on a female, felony interfere with monitoring device and damage to state property.
