CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 8:00am Wednesday morning in North Charlotte.
CMPD says a call came in around 8am this morning in reference to a shooting in 6700 block of Ridge Lane Road. Police arrived to find a 23-year-old male in his home with a gunshot wound to the upper thigh.
The victim had lost a considerable amount of blood and was transported to CMC with life threatening injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
Police say the back door had been broken in.
Two other people were at home at the time of the shooting. The other adult in the house called 911.
Officials say they have no suspects at this time, and very few clues. They have brought in the K-9 unit to search the area. They say very few calls for 911 come in from this particular street.
