Former High School Teammates Talk About Greg Olsen

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After suffering a scary-looking leg injury last weekend against the Falcons, Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is probable to play against the Giants on Sunday. For many residents of North Jersey, they can’t wait to see him suit up for Carolina.

Olsen grew up in nearby Wayne, NJ and went to Wayne Hills high. He was a multi-sport athlete, but football is where he took New Jersey by storm. He shined on both offense and defense, registering more sacks than touchdowns his senior season.

On Saturday, Brandon Davidow caught up with former coaches and teammates of Olsen’s at Wayne Hills High School. The coaches loved how Greg made their jobs really easy, while the players said he was a force to be reckoned with back in the day.

Olsen and the Panthers look to push their perfect record to 14-0 on Sunday against the Giants. Kickoff from MetLife stadium is at 1:00pm.
