Holiday Flights: Plan for Long Lines, Delays
CHARLOTTE, NC — Longer lines and extra security will be the first thing you notice when walking into Charlotte-Douglas International this week.
Airport officials say it was calm Monday, but holiday travelers should expect delays to pick up over the next 72 hours.
Security has also increased because of terror threats across the world.
“When you consider there’s 8,800 flights a day, and all the travel, you just gotta trust and it’ll get ya through,” said traveler Sam Vanderbuilt.
Travelers should plan on arriving at least two hours before their flight over the next two weeks.
