Arrest Made After Multiple Thefts From Denver Walmart

DENVER, NC — Police have arrested a Dallas, NC man following a string of thefts from a Denver Walmart.Woody, Joseph Eugene

Police say 34-year-old Joseph Woody was arrested Wednesday night after he attempted to take over $650 worth of items out of the Walmart on 7131 NC73 Highway in Denver without paying.

Woody had already been banned from the store after being charged with theft on both December 20th and 22nd. On those occasions Woody had taken items totaling more than $1700.

Items taken by Woody included multiple RCA tablets, generators, a fish finder, and men’s jeans.

Woody has been charged with one felony count of probation violation, one felony count each of
larceny by anti inventory device and larceny, five counts of misdemeanor larceny, one count of 2nd degree trespassing, two counts of 1st degree trespassing, and two counts of misdemeanor Probation Violation.

He is being held under a $30,000 secured bond.
