ROCK HILL, SC — Police have arrested the man they say robbed the Days Inn on Riverview Road early Wednesday morning.
Officers say James Green, 47, robbed the Days in at 875 Riverview Road in Rock Hill just before 6:00am Wednesday morning.
The motel’s clerk, Cecilia Miller, told police that Green told her he had a gun and demanded the money. Miller then asked Green to see the gun, which he never showed, and he jumped behind the counter and took $270 from the register.
Miller ran to a back room and called police. Surveillance showed Green fleeing on foot towards the back of the property and grabbing several items before disappearing.
Detectives, along with the K-9 unit, tracked Green back to his room at the nearby Bestway Inn on Riverview Road.
Green was found in his room with a woman, Chasity Miller, 36. Both were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana. Green also faces charges of armed robbery with a deadly weapon.
