GASTONIA, NC — Gastonia Police need help locating the suspect who robbed the Dollar General on Cox road Wednesday night.
The robbery happened around 10:20 Wednesday night at the Dollar General at 545 Cox Road. Surveillance shows the suspect grabbing wasp and hornet spray, hiding it in his sweatshirt, and then using it to spray the clerk in the face. The suspect then reached over the counter and took the money.
Police say the suspect is a white heavyset male wearing a brown Under Armour hoodie, and camouflage hat. He was driving an early to mid-2000 dark colored Honda.
