Belk Bowl Prep Begins Tuesday

CHARLOTTE, NC — Several streets in Uptown will be shut down Tuesday morning in preparation for the Belk Bowl Fan Fest. The festival starts Wednesday morning.

NC State will play Mississippi State at The Bank that afternoon. Event organizers expect more than 50,000 people to come out and celebrate.

This year fan fest will include interactive games, face-painting and a performance by Carrie Underwood.

“There’s going to be a great concert. It’s free and open to the public. There are still good seats available for the Belk Bowl. We hope fans will come watch a good football game between two good football teams,” said Will Webb, Executive Director of the Charlotte Sports Foundation.
