CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Belk Bowl Fan Fest will be held on Wednesday, December 30 from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on South Mint Street between West Morehead Street and West Stonewall Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Event organizers expect 50,000 participants. Street closures will begin on Tuesday, December 29 at 9:30 a.m. and will reopen Wednesday, December 30 at 11 p.m. Street closures are below:
- South Mint Street between Morehead Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
- Graham Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Mint Street
- Stonewall Street between Mint Street and Church Street
The Belk Bowl game will begin at 3:30 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium. Streets and lanes in the vicinity of the stadium will be closed to vehicular traffic to accommodate large pedestrian flows, as is done for all major events at Bank of America Stadium. These closures typically occur about two hours prior to the start of events. Commuters should expect heavier traffic and congestion during evening rush hour.
