CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say they arrested two men wanted for robbing several businesses in Charlotte.
Investigators say Aaron Turner and Joseph Dardon robbed a Dollar General on Heathway Drive on November 20th, a Metro PCS on The Plaza on December 12th and a Speedway gas station on North Tryon Street on December 19th.
Police say officers were conducting a zone check at a shopping center on North Tryon Street on December 23rd when they observed a blue Chevrolet Trailblazer that fit the description given by robbery detectives of a suspect vehicle used during several business robberies.
Officers say they observed the driver circulating the shopping center and remove the license plate from the back of the vehicle.
The suspects are accused of pulling the vehicle in front of a Metro PCS after removing the license plate. Police immediately approached the vehicle and took the suspects into custody.
Turner was charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy and possession of marijuana.
Dardon was charged with conspiracy and possession of marijuana. The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are pending.
