Area Ski Slopes Reopen with Cooler Weather

CHARLOTTE, NC — The new year means a new chance to hit the slopes. Several area ski resorts are planning to reopen this weekend because of the cooler weather.

Sugar Mountain will open its slopes Saturday morning. Appalachian Ski Mountain in Blowing Rock is making snow right now. They hope to reopen by Sunday.

Beech Mountain also plans to reopen this weekend.
