Investigation Continues In North Charlotte Warehouse Fire

CHARLOTTE, NC — Investigators are trying to figure out what started a warehouse fire early Wednesday morning in north Charlotte.Craighead Road Fire

Charlotte fire crews responded to a fire call around 3:00 this morning on 1409 W. Craighead Road. Crews arrived to heavy flames and smoke coming from the Ryder Services Center.

It took over 60 firefighters over an hour to get the three alarm fire under control. Though the fire is out, crews continue to monitor for hot spots that may pop up.

Craighead Road between North Graham Street and Tryon Street remains closed.

Crews are spreading salt onto the roadway to help eliminate frozen water.

A CATS bus was also on scene throughout the morning to provide warm relief to the crews working in the bitter cold.

No injuries were reported from scene.
