275 Jobs Coming to Kannapolis

KANNAPOLIS, NC — At least 275 jobs are coming to Kannapolis. Governor McCrory helped cut the ribbon for a new food distribution center Tuesday.

Gordon Food Service will begin shipments from the 300,000 square foot center in April. The company will receive nearly $4 million worth of incentives over 20 years.

“This is a regional draw,” said Kannapolis Mayor Darrell Hinnant. “And our friends from Concord, our friends from Cabarrus County, from Rowan County and surrounding areas are all going to benefit.”

The new center was built off I-85 at Exit 54 in the Afton Ridge business park.
