York Co. Sheriff investigating armed robbery

FORT MILL, S.C.– The York County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery in Fort Mill.

Officials with the Sheriff’s Office say four suspects entered the BB&T Bank in the 1700 block of West Highway 160 Saturday around 11:30 a.m. Saturday and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of money.

Two of the suspects were men and two were women and they all had their faces covered with masks or clothing and had what appeared to be hand guns.

Officials say the suspects left the bank in a small silver SUV on Highway 160 heading towards Gold Hill Road.

There were four employees and one customer inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.
