Teen Girl And Her Dog Rescued From Burning Charlotte Home

CHARLOTTE, NC — A teenage girl and her dog are safe this morning after being rescued from the second story of a burning home in northeast Charlotte.Pickering Dr Fire

Charlotte fire crews responded to a fire at 7782 Pickering Drive around 7:00am Wednesday morning. Crews said there were flames showing through the roof when they arrived, and one person was trapped on the second floor.

Officials say it was a 16-year-old girl and her dog that were rescued from the second story window of the home. Medic treated her on scene for non-life threatening injuries. No one was transported, and no other injuries were reported.

No word yet on what caused the fire.
