Expecting Mothers Warned About Zika Virus
AP — The United States is sounding the alarm about the Zika virus.
Health experts warn pregnant women to avoid visiting vacation spots like the Caribbean, Mexico and Brazil. Brazil is considered ground zero for Zika, which is spread by mosquitos.
Health officials say nearly 4,200 babies have been born with potentially deadly birth defects since October. There is currently no medicine or vaccine to treat and prevent the virus.
