CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have charged two men for their involvement in a commercial burglary series.
Shun Johnson, 42, and Eddie Tate, 62, have been charged with Breaking and Entering, Conspiracy, Possession of Stolen Goods, all of which are felonies.
A string of commercial burglaries were committed throughout the city in December. The suspects were stealing cigarettes and lottery tickets. After an investigation, officials identified Tate and Johnson as suspects.
On January 24th, evidence led officers in conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by the two men. Property was located inside of the vehicle from one of the commercial burglaries they had committed.
Tate and Johnson were arrested and transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
