ROWAN CO., N.C.– Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly single vehicle wreck in Rowan County.
The wreck happened on Highway 801 near Meisemer Dairy Road around 8 p.m. Sunday. Troopers say the vehicle traveled left of center and ran off the left side of the road striking a tree.
Troopers say the driver of the vehicle was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The passenger was flown to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem.
No further information has been released at this time.
