LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man wounded on Tuesday.
Officials say the shooting happened at the 1200 block of Love Memorial School Road around 4:30 p.m.
During an argument, David Greene, 44, chased James Small, 53, into a driveway. Greene, who was not armed, continued to approach Small who fired one shot in the air as a warning then another shot at the individual as he continued to approach him.
Greene was transported by EMS to Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia with a bullet wound to the arm.
Small was charged with one felony count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. He will have a first appearance in Lincoln County District Court on Wednesday.
