A proposed amendment would add four protected classes to Charlotte’s existing Non-Discrimination Ordinance.
That includes sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, along with family and marital status.
Those groups would be protected in three ways:
When using public accommodations, like restaurants, parks or restrooms, when using taxi cabs and when contracting with the city.
So what do you think? Do you think the LGBT protections added to Charlotte’s Non-Discrimination Ordinance were needed?
