GASTONIA, N.C. — NC Highway patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a logging truck in Gaston County.
The accident happened Monday afternoon on Ferguson Ridge Road in Gastonia. NC Highway patrol says the logging truck went left of center and crashed head on into a pick up truck, which then caught fire.
Despite witnesses trying to help, the man in the pick up did not survive.
Ferguson Ridge Road is currently closed due to the accident.
