CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The North Carolina chapter of the EMS ROADDOCS is hosting a chili cook-off and food drive Saturday, February 27th in east Charlotte.
The event, Racing the Reaper Chili Cook-Off & Food Drive, begins at 7pm at the Surf Inn Club, 3549 N. Sharon Amity Road.
The event is open to the public. Β Tickets for unlimited chili tastings are $5 at the door. Β Chili can be entered into the contest with a donation of 3 canned goods. Β Food drive barrels and boxes have been distributed throughout the community, but all donations can be received at the Surf Inn Club leading up to the event.
The winner of the Racing the Reaper Chili Cook-Off will receive a custom trophy, a $25 Surf Inn Club gift card, 2 customized shot glasses and free entry for two to the Racing the Reaper Poker Run in May.
The runner-up will receive a customized chili spoon, Surf Inn Club gift card and one free entry to the Racing the Reaper Poker Run.
There will also be live music by Dru Ross, drink specials and EMS ROADDOCS merchandise for sale.
