CHARLOTTE, NC — An overnight SWAT standoff comes to an end after a suspect is taken into custody.
Police were called to the 11200 block of Pointer Ridge Drive Tuesday after a man with outstanding from another county was located.
When officers arrived they found that the man had barricaded himself inside and refused to come out. SWAT and negotiators were called to the scene to try and talk the man out.
SWAT finally entered the residence around 3:45am after a long standoff and took the suspect into custody without incident.
No further information about the suspect or his crimes have been released at this time.
