CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Keep Pounding 5K Stadium Run Kick-Off Registration Party will be held Thursday at 12:30pm.
Patients and staff from the Levine Cancer Institute and Sir Purr are teaming up to kick-off registration for the 6th Annual Keep Pounding 5K Stadium Run benefiting cancer programs at Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children’s Hospital.
The kick-off event will be held on the 3rd floor conference center at Levine Cancer Institute. The event is open to the public.
The Keep Pounding 5K Stadium Run will be held on May 14th. Registration is $30 and each runner is encouraged to raise $51, a number that commemorates the late Panthers’ player Sam Mills. Mills, who lost his battle with cancer, coined the phrase “Keep pounding” in an inspirational speech to his teammates.
