Vendors Help Fund Free Mental Health Services
CHARLOTTE, NC — An organization that helps people get mental health services is getting a big boost from the CIAA tournament.
Vendors from our area—and as far away as Maryland—sold food, with the proceeds going to help InnerVision’s mission. For more than a decade, InnerVision has provided free counseling to people who don’t have health insurance or Medicaid.
“A lot of the time people can come up with dollars for their physical health, but what happens to your mental health?” said InnerVision Community Engagement Specialist Beatrice Thompson. “Is there something there if I need to talk to someone? If I’m not sure which way to go.”
You can stop by InnerVision Friday and grab a bite. It’s located directly across from Time Warner Cable Arena on East Trade Street.
