911 Call: Gastonia Man Demands Ride From Police To Work

GASTONIA, N.C. — Police say a Gastonia man was arrested after becoming irate because officers would not give him a ride to work.

Xzavier Lipscomb, 22, called 911 on Thursday asking for a ride his place of employment.  In the call, he claims the road he works on does not have sidewalks and is on a highway.  He claims he has been hit before and doesn’t want to get hit again.

The 911 operator informed Lipscomb that officers do not offer free rides. According a news release, Lipscomb became irate and was using profanity towards the 911 operator.

He was arrested and charged with misuse of 911.
