GASTONIA, NC– Police say they arrested a Gaston County man for sexually abusing a child.
Reports say Thomas Edward Welch Jr., 38, was charged with one count of statutory sex offense with a child under the age of 15 in February.
Welch was also charged with one count of indecent liberties with a child.
He is currently being held at Gaston County Jail.
