SALISBURY, NC –Salisbury fire crews respond as a Burger King goes up in flames early Monday morning.
Crews were called to the scene of a Burger King on Jake Alexander Blvd. at Lincolnton Road that caught fire overnight. Crews set up trucks with heavy water streams to battle the blaze.
Additional crews were called to the scene to help bring the fire under control. Officials say six city fire companies and mutual aid responded to the two alarm fire. The fire even set off an alarm at a nearby YMCA, but that scene was cleared.
Jake Alexander Blvd at Lincolnton Road remains closed as crews continue to work the scene.
No word yet on what caused the fire or if anyone was inside when the fire broke out. We will bring more updates as this story develops.
