CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte teen has been charged in connection with an assault that occurred Monday.
Officers have arrested sixteen-year-old Ron Gant and charged him with Common Law Robbery and Possession of Stolen Property.
Police responded to reports of a strong armed robbery near the intersection of Church and Seventh street. Upon arrival, the victim asserted that the suspect approached him from behind, punched him, and took his cell phone.
The CMPD’s Central Division and Aviation Unit began circulating the area and located the suspect along with two other individuals near Cedar street. The Victim’s cell phone was found in Mr. Gant’s possession and returned to the victim. Officers determined that the other individuals were not involved in the crime.
