INDIAN LAND, SC — Officials say a little boy has died from injuries after being hit while riding his bike Tuesday evening.
The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office says 7-year-old Bryson McSweeney from Indian Land died shortly after midnight.
Around 6:08pm Tuesday evening McSweeney rode his bicycle through a stop sign and into the intersection at Mercer Street and Glen Laurel Drive. He then hit the front passenger corner of 31-year-old Marina Morales’s Honda Accord.
Officials say McSweeney wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
He was airlifted to CMC in Charlotte with life-threatening injuries, but was unable to recover.
